Timothy Mayer graduated from The University of Pittsburgh then earned his master’s degree in counseling psychology from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He has worked full time in the substance misuse and mental health field for over twenty years as a hands-on field professional, therapist, and clinical director. He was appointed by the Governor of Florida to serve on the Florida Statewide Advocacy Council. He specializes in Substance Misuse issues, and the treatment of interpersonal difficulties using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and other Third Wave Treatments. With over twenty- five years of experience as a therapist and supervisor, I can assist a broad range of people working through struggles to improve their overall quality of life.
