About
People often come to therapy feeling a need to fix or change some troubling aspect of themselves. What can be surprising, however, is that the therapeutic process may begin as a journey of self-acceptance rather than fixing or changing. Most of us have not been fortunate enough to have people in our lives who can listen without judgement or agenda. That is my job as your therapist. By truly listening, I will learn what the world looks like through your eyes and this understanding of your inner world will help me guide you through the challenging journey of self-acceptance as the gateway to personal transformation. Over the years I have found that I am particularly adept at helping clients manage and reduce anxiety; recover from childhood abuse or neglect; change harmful relationship and communication patterns; bring awareness and relief from manic or borderline tendencies; recover from addiction; and, increase self efficacy and self respect.
