Life is full of transitions. Changes in employment, relationship status, becoming a parent, the illness or death of a loved one, relocating or developing a health condition are some of the most challenging life transitions. Without adequate emotional support and healthy coping skills, the extra stress can lead to more serious physical or mental health problems. Depression, anxiety, insomnia, and relationship conflicts can appear or worsen as a result of not having knowledge of how to effectively cope with life changes. I educate and support my clients as we work to eliminate negative symptoms and develop a brighter future. I have been providing individual, marriage and family mental health and substance abuse counseling in Springfield, MO since 1996. Much of this time has been spent working with clients and families who are struggling with severe mental illness and addiction Since 2008 I have specialized in the areas of women's mental health and trauma treatment.
