My passion for the helping profession began when I was in high school where I became a peer counselor. Being an active listener and offering support to others was something that came natural to me. I have over 25 yrs. experience working with youth, young adults, adults and military families addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, anger management, self-esteem, suicidality, grief and loss, family conflict, parenting skills, emotion regulation, self-harm, and trauma. I have practiced in various settings such as schools, community and inpatient facilities, providing individual, family and group therapy. I combine cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based techniques, and challenge my clients within their comfort and consent, to use their individual strengths to work through identified issues and find their peace.
