I bring both understanding and caring to the therapeutic relationship. I’ve been a therapist and supervisor for over 25 years and have specialties in working with people who struggle with depression, learning differences and attentional difficulties that result in performance anxiety. I help with ADD self-management. I am also a Lyme Literate counselor and as such work with folks with chronic complex illness. In the work that I do, I have found it key to highlight and appreciate differences in perception so we can explore how they might lead to communication barriers. Engaging more than one sensory input is key to maximizing learning and healing. I incorporate techniques from NeuroLinguistic Programming, CBT & Psychodrama into a family systems framework. People feel empowered when taking an active role in the counseling process.
