As a Registered Play Therapist who specializes in working with children 10 and under, I believe and know that children cannot process the same way that we adults do, which is why talk therapy won't work well for them. For children, play is their language and the toys are their words (Landreth). I am trained to communicate and use their play to reach their goals ( little do the kids realize what important work they are doing!) My job is to help them realize their best selves while helping you as their parent and caregivers understand and parent them in ways that can speak not only to their strengths but yours as well. I can help you develop a deeper understanding of your child and help them heal through the magic and wonder of play. As a registered play therapist, I am specifically credentialed to conduct play therapy, not just use some aspects of play in counseling. I offer frequent parent sessions along with your child's individual sessions to achieve the best results.
