I believe we all have strength, we sometimes just need to be reminded of how to tap into it. I have been seeing clients for 10 years in many different situations. I use a systemic approach, meaning that every part of a person's system from family to job, school, community, is an important part of understanding underlying issues and concerns. When we understand how we came to feel or think about things, we can work to adapt thoughts feelings and thoughts in ways that serve us more productively. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Clinical Counseling Supervisor, with a Master's degree in Marriage and Family therapy. I believe people have the power to move themselves forward. Sometimes we just need to see a reflection of ourselves to know how to take those first steps. Communication, understanding, and empathy are keys to healthy relationships of all varieties and in all areas. I am a Sex-Positive inclusive therapist; there is no room for shame in the counseling room!
