You are accomplished, maybe a perfectionist; the tightness in your chest and pain in your throat visits you often and you are good at pushing it down most of the time. Out of nowhere you get triggered and fear hits, your heart pounds. You freeze, lash out, runaway emotionally or physically. You experienced a trauma when you were assaulted, received a diagnosis, got fired from your job, betrayed by your partner or had your house destroyed by fire, or you have developmental trauma because you grew up in a chaotic, abusive or critical family and you never learned to express emotions or understand that you have rights and needs.
