I’m a neurodivergent therapist, and in facing my own challenges related to ADHD and ASD, I’ve come to see how much of an impact specialized support has in addressing these sorts of challenges. Not all brains work the same, and so trying to treat them all the same way tends to hinder the progress that we can make. Having an understanding of what makes your brain tick and providing tailored support to meet your individual needs goes a long way towards helping us reach our goals. My goal is to help you to a point of feeling like you're on the same team as your brain, rather than feeling like you have to "win" against your brain. We often approach healing with a mindset of "I just need to stop doing X, Y, and Z", but the human brain doesn't have those simple on/off switches. My goal is to help you recognize and meet your needs, without blaming yourself for having those needs in the first place.
