You may be interested in exploring historical life events that have contributed to current difficulties, working to resolve ongoing feelings of distress or anxiety, building skills to curb addictive behaviors with substances or other vices, or have general interest in the potential ways you could benefit from therapy. My combination of experiences as a frontline social worker in several residential and outpatient settings taught me how to approach a multitude of issues with knowledge, care, and compassion. While my approach to this work utilizes evidenced based modalities (CBT, DBT), it is my fundamental belief that the therapeutic relationship built through our conversations is the driving force for transformative practice. I will not view you as a diagnosis to be made, but a human to connect with and aide in growth.
