Modern life is uniquely challenging. We try to shape and mold ourselves into what we think we “should” be, and in doing so, we often lose touch with the most precious parts of ourselves. When we lose touch with these childlike parts, we keep ourselves from forming the close attachments that make life worth living. I work with my patients to help them embrace their natural curiosity, explore the existential questions that we push aside in daily life, challenge the negative self-talk that holds us back, and engage more fully in the pleasures that life can hold.
