VNC Therapy New York was founded to provide a healing space for humans to reconnect with their identities and explore new pathways to pleasure in a radically affirming and expansive way. Some of the healing has included dismantling ideas around perfectionism, entitlement, and oppression that may be specific to AAPI, BIPOC, Latinx, LGBTQIA2S+ and gender expansive communities and which show up intersectionally to create unique barriers to pleasure. You can expect a therapist with the capacity to hold multiple truths, respect your beliefs, and challenge patterns of behavior in a supportive way that facilitates sustainable change. With over 7 years of private practice experience, my approaches are neurodivergence and kink affirming, anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, integrative, existential, and collaborative. Some modalities used include narrative relational sex therapy, internal family systems, somatic, existential, and mindfulness based cognitive behavioral therapies.
