Finding a therapist is commendable and can be challenging; I hope Stories Told Counseling, LLC is the right fit for you! My approach is rooted in respect, curiosity, trust, and genuine care. I believe my clients are the experts in their own lives and that all behaviors, feelings, and thoughts make sense when placed in context. My role is to facilitate insights, self-compassion, and the accrual of healthy habits and skills. While psychotherapy can be heavy and does require work, I strive to make sessions engaging, dynamic, and enjoyable. Together we can make room to not only address life’s challenges but also highlight successes. Clinically, I do not use a one-size-fits-all method. Individuals of all races, genders, abilities, religions, and sizes are celebrated and individualized, cultural responsiveness is my priority. While open to all clients, I specialize in: childhood trauma, sexual violence, domestic violence, gender and sexuality, relational difficulties, and birthing trauma.
