About

As a DBT therapist, I work with individuals who may have struggled with suicidal ideation, self harm, substance abuse, emotion dysregulation, and difficulties with relationships. Often I see clients who identify as highly sensitive and have a hard time accepting this about themselves due to the intensity of their emotions. It is my goal to assist these individuals in understanding the absolute strength their sensitivity can be once they learn to not only self-regulate, but embrace this quality. I believe the most beautiful thing about DBT treatment is the primary goal of getting clients to live a life they truly find worth living. Through my experience working in a multitude of mental health settings, I have always returned to DBT skills in treatment. I have completed various DBT trainings that allow me to practice in a comprehensive DBT treatment setting. DBT focuses on four main components; mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.
