People seek therapy for a multitude of reasons, often complex ones. I work with clients to acknowledge the complex situations and reasons that brought them to my counseling room, and to identify solutions to implement in order to move forward. Don't allow the complexity of a situation to make you think it's impossible to solve. I work best with folks who take change seriously, knowing that it takes changing your thoughts and actions to promote change in your life. I like assigning assignments both inside and outside of session, as I believe this brings about sustainable and longstanding change. I am a Certified Sex Therapist and specialize in low desire, sexual dysfunction, sexual trauma, and out of control sexual behavior. I utilize this, along with Emotion Focused Therapy and Gottman, to address sexual disconnection in couples, intimacy concerns, and infidelity. I am trained in EMDR, and use this with folks who have experienced sexual trauma.
