It is the wounds of the heart and the scars on the mind.” As your therapist, my goal is to bring a genuine, authentic, and accepting space to help you navigate through this complex world we live in. I see myself as a guide and my approach is very much rooted in the thought that every individual inherently holds the capacity for growth, resilience, and positive transformation – and I am here to help you see it too. Authenticity is my strong suit as a therapist. I bring my genuine self into our sessions, whether it involves offering encouragement or providing gentle feedback. I am proud to offer therapy in English and Somali. I incorporate diverse modalities, such as a holistic and culturally responsive approach, strength-based and client-centered techniques, motivational interviewing, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
