Hello, I'm Wendy. Finding a therapist is often as much about the 'match' as it is about the skill and experience of the clinician. Many times, we seek therapy when things are at a low point, when things are overwhelming and support is needed most. The reasons and goals of therapy are individual, and it's important that they are heard, understood, and respected by the clinician, as the therapeutic relationship is collaborative and built on trust. With over 20 years of experience in the field of helping others, I have found that trusting, genuine connections are an essential base for change to occur. I believe that you are the author of your story; my role may be to offer different perspectives, or to be a sounding board, or to provide support as you work through a certain 'chapter.' Together, we determine the work you'd like to do and the best way to make that happen.
