Welcome to Westside Wellness & Therapy! My name is Mariane Makkar, LCSW, LICSW. I believe that one of the greatest indicators of success in therapy is a client’s commitment to the process itself. Beginning therapy is often a powerful accomplishment, especially when it may have once felt impossible. I support my clients by helping them reduce the intensity of their symptoms through the development of healthy, effective coping skills. When clients are able to set clear and specific goals, meaningful change becomes more attainable and realistic. I believe that meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship. By establishing trust and rapport, I’m able to better understand each client’s concerns and collaborate on a treatment plan that feels realistic and supportive. I approach therapy with flexibility and creativity, tailoring care to align with each client’s goals and unique needs.
