Hello, I’m Mary. Many people I work with feel stuck, weighed down by anxiety, depression, trauma or patterns that no longer reflect who they are. I offer short-term therapy (3–6 months) for adults seeking insight, emotional clarity and changes in how they live and relate. The work is deep and can be intense—a process of liberation from bondage to beliefs, habitual thoughts and the past. We explore the roots of current functioning for understanding, not blame, even when justified — it keeps you tethered and reinforces inertia. I assess and challenge when necessary, at a pace and depth that matches your capacity to hold and process. Then, together, we will identify and draw on your strengths to address life challenges. My work is grounded in psychodynamic and multicultural approaches, with a particular focus on post-colonial, Asian and BIPOC experiences.
