About
I see psychotherapy as a dialogue between two people that can yield great personal growth and transformation. I aim to promote a safe, supportive and trusting psychotherapeutic relationship that facilitates the exploration of areas of difficulty, hurt, and vulnerability. My patients typically gain the following from our work together: insights into their own unproductive behaviors, new perspectives, increased confidence and self acceptance. I work collaboratively with my patients. I ask probing questions and point out inconsistencies. I also provide feedback, advice, insights, observations and opinions. I have lots of experience helping people from varied backgrounds with a whole range of problems. In particular, I specialize in helping people overcome depression and anxiety, change repeated unproductive behaviors, cope with medical problems, overcome addiction, cope with grief/loss and improve their relationships (including couples therapy).
