I specialize in substance abuse treatment at the individual and group therapy level. I use a flexible, integrative approach that caters to the specific needs of each individual I work with. I focus on the idea that drugs and alcohol are not the problem, but rather a solution that allows users to escape their problems while simultaneously exacerbating them. Recovery becomes possible when we better understand the feelings or environmental factors these substances are helping us tolerate. Everyone’s idea of what recovery looks like may be different, and my goal is to help my clients determine what it must look like for them.
