Hello, I'm Yukako (she/her/hers), a fierce mental health advocate for migrants, refugees, and immigrants regardless of your immigration status. I am a psychotherapist with a passion for creating safe mental and emotional space for all including immigrants and refugees. I am originally from Japan and spent more than half of my life in other regions of the world. As an immigrant myself, I understand the unique challenges you may face. I offer a safe space for you to share your story, and together, we'll create a personalized treatment plan to help you thrive and live your life with a sense of ownership, agency, and autonomy. Healing begins where empathy and human connection meet. I integrate therapeutic models like ACT, CBT, and DBT for cognitive and behavioral change, alongside approaches like NARM and Narrative Exposure Therapy to facilitate deeper transformation. My goal is to foster resilience, self-awareness, and lasting growth through evidence-based, compassionate care.
