About
People seek therapy because they want change—to feel better and be better. As a psychologist, I’ll work with you to gain a deep understanding into the patterns that hold you back from greater fulfillment. My goal is to provide you a transformative therapeutic experience. I do this by building a strong professional relationship, where you feel both supported and challenged to think differently. This process often involves understanding the causes of your distress, recognizing your strengths, learning some new skills, and taking intentional action. Being able to laugh also helps! You can expect me to be genuine and collaborative, grounding my approach in research-supported techniques. I specialize in treating anxiety/depression, relationship concerns, trauma, grief, and men/masculinity. In addition to over 10 years of clinical work, I currently am an Assistant Professor of Psychological Science at the University of North Georgia.
