I am a clinical social worker with 3 years of experience in the field. I have experience working with those in a state of crisis and experiencing severe emotional distress. Prior to joining Kentucky Counseling Center’s team, I worked in two acute care settings. I worked at a psychiatric hospital in Louisville, KY and have experience with numerous mental health disorders including: schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders; anxiety disorders; depressive disorders; bipolar and mood disorders; borderline personality disorder; substance use disorders; and trauma. I have experience utilizing varying therapeutic modalities/interventions; however, my preferred modalities are person-centered, CBT, DBT, narrative therapy, and solution-focused therapy. I believe a person-centered approach is essential in the beginning stages of therapy, when building rapport and human connection is essential to therapeutic success.
