I work with a variety of individuals 18 and older, especially those suffering from psychotic conditions, including schizophrenia; sexual abuse and assault; and dissociative and personality disorders (borderline, schizoid, obsessional). I have treated physicians, nurses, clergy, military personnel, teachers and academics, but I enjoy working with people of all backgrounds, including other therapists seeking their own treatment. I enjoy working with anyone wanting an exploration of their mind in order to find deeper freedom in their inner life and an increased capacity to bear life's sorrows and its joys. More than a decade of intensive training in psychoanalysis (the oldest evidence-based therapy extant) in Canada and the US guides my work with my patients in mentalization (i.e., thinking about your own mind and that of others). I work with you to increase your mentalizing capacity which is crucial for increased emotional freedom and peace of mind.
