I have a decade of experience working with adults and families with interpersonal and life transition challenges, those related to identity, personal growth and relationship transitions. I support clients in addressing symptoms of depression, anxiety and trauma. Using an empathic approach, I help clients develop insight and solutions toward emotional wellness. I approach therapy with a sociopolitical lens, recognizing that distress is often a response to oppressive systems, not personal failure. I'm critical of bureaucratic influences on mental health care, and instead offer a relational, client driven space rooted in liberation. I hope to help you feel heard and validated. I will also challenge you, but will make sure we move at the pace that is right for you. Sessions are guided by you; our work will include examining and healing from trauma using psychodynamic approaches. I prefer having a central focus for therapy, while we slowly expand on understanding other areas of your life.
