In treating children, adolescents, families and adults for thirty years, my approach has evolved to become increasingly more relaxed, humorous, active, and-at its core-respectful. It is not based on giving advice or otherwise suggesting that I know what is best for you. On the contrary, my therapy (and personal) “voice” has grown to become increasingly grounded in humility and profound empathy, sitting comfortably not being certain, keeping my mind open, listening intensely, putting aside my personal opinions and reference points-all in order for me to genuinely see you and support growth and even transformation.
