You made it here so you are one step closer to getting the help you deserve. Congratulations! I am a LCSW based out of Southern, Kentucky but originally from Middle Tennessee. I made my way to the beloved Commonwealth of Kentucky to complete my undergraduate degree, Applied Human Sciences with a focus on family and child studies, at Western Kentucky University (WKU). Go Tops! I liked WKU enough that I stuck around for another two years where I completed my Masters in Social Work. Unfortunately I was not granted a wand with my degree to make everyone's life magically better but I was granted the opportunity to help every client. In our first session, I will praise you for coming to therapy. It is a huge step to make the first appointment. You are absolutely not broken and it is okay to not be okay. I begin all first time sessions by introducing myself and depending on how comfortable you feel, we will continue to your introduction and what brought you to therapy.
