My ideal client is someone experiencing challenges managing emotions, relationships, or coping with changes in their family dynamics. These include divorce, relocating to a new neighborhood, or a loss. The child’s parents want them to experience less worry and be more confident expressing their emotions. Equipping the child with healthy coping skills and giving the caregivers guidance in providing emotional support in the home will help the therapeutic process. Creativity and play open the child up emotionally where traditional talk therapy might not. We adults need to nurture our inner child, something I look for in new clients.
