There are so many reasons to begin counseling; from learning to cope with anxiety, grief, depression, or just navigating life's constant changes. My interest in mental health emerged from my own experiences and witnessing my family cope with their mental health struggles. My previous work assisting adolescents and their families in connecting with community resources strengthened my dedication to supporting others. I am currently pursuing my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University and learning the skills necessary to support you along your journey. I have a strong interest in person-centered and humanistic approaches, which guide me in creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered. Currently, I am receiving extensive training in play therapy to further support the emotional and developmental needs, as well as the overall growth and well-being of the children I serve.
