The trial and error of navigating school/work stress, family/social relationships, emerging independence, and normal development can be a particularly difficult time for young people and their families. Young people often struggle identifying the source of their distress and implementing solutions to life’s problems. I value the opportunity to meet clients in that uncertainty and explore ways to adapt to the ever-changing circumstances of growing up. It is my goal to provide young people and their families with the tools, resources, and support necessary to navigate this difficult stage and foster lifelong resiliency. My approach is research- and strength-based, integrating a variety of therapeutic techniques appropriate to each client’s unique needs. I incorporate play- and art-based activities to help clients communicate with fewer barriers to self-expression.
