I grew up in rural Maine, surrounded by first responders, hard workers, and folks who’d call themselves redneck without flinching. I understand what it means to live in tight-knit communities where pride, grit, and survival often come before self-reflection. That background shapes how I show up as a counselor: direct, nonjudgmental, and grounded in real-world experience.
