The ability to acknowledge our struggles is the first step towards positive change. We are all capable of it. The majority of my career has been spent working with children, teenagers and young adults. The focus is usually on helping them manage issues related to depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma and low self-esteem. I enjoy getting to engage in family therapy, with the focus on improving communication and family dynamics. My work with adults focuses on similar concerns. I enjoy clients who come to therapy with a desire to understand themselves and change behaviors or thought patterns that are negatively impacting their lives. My approach is interactive, compassionate, supportive and solution focused. Many of the challenges all of us struggle with are complex and have developed over many years. I want to help clients learn self-compassion and insight about their thoughts and behaviors. The desired outcome is an increased sense of well-being and contentment in their lives.
