Dr. Heilbrun specializes in working with children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of mental health and medical concerns, including chronic and acute medical conditions (e.g., stroke, traumatic brain injury, brain tumors), anxiety, trauma, and depression. She has a collaborative and interactive therapeutic approach and use a variety of empirically-supported treatments, including cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and cognitive rehabilitation. She works at the DayRehab Center at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab and in private practice at Breakthrough Psychotherapy in Northfield, IL.
