I love being a psychologist! Sometimes the job is really stressful, but seeing my patients make gains is so rewarding. I work really well with teens and young adults so if you've got a surly teenager on your hands and you feel as if they're speaking a whole different language then I would love to work with your family. Additionally, I have special training in working with all forms of trauma (everything from sexual assaults to car accidents to complex physical abuse). Honestly, I enjoy working with an array of presenting problems and ages; each person presents with a unique personal history that brings newness to each work day.
