Trauma can be caused by abuse or other terrible events that happen. Trauma can also result from what didn't happen- not feeling seen or loved by your caregivers, being left alone with big feelings, not belonging because you were different. Abuse and/or neglect shape our beliefs about ourselves, others, and the world. Unresolved trauma causes a host of symptoms including anxiety, depression, self hate, difficulty regulating emotions, unstable relationships, and many other concerns. I work with adults needing support for life transitions, relationship issues, complex PTSD, religious trauma, grief, gender exploration, depression, anxiety, neurodivergence and many other issues. I utilize mindfulness, somatic practices, and EMDR.
