While working on her master’s degree, Ashley served as a counseling intern for the Student Counseling Service at Miami University, where she provided counseling to college students, as well as facilitated group therapy sessions, which focused on bridging the cultural gaps between domestic and international students. Ashley later completed a second internship at the Center for Addiction Treatment in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she provided a variety of counseling and addiction services to adults of all ages. Ashley does not currently hold any credentials through the state of Michigan to treat substance use disorders.
