Since the 1980s, I have seen many clients seeking psychological assessments. At the first meeting with the client, I do thorough psychosocial history to assess individual strengths and ask the person to work with me on what needs to be changed. From there, I decide what testing would be helpful and set up an appointment for the assessment battery. Additionally, I have taught counseling skills as well as psychological assessments to graduate doctoral students for many years. I have taught courses in forensic psychology and brain behavior relationships. I supervise the work of several counselors and psychologists. As a clinical psychologist I have worked with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, loss, and grief. I help diagnose ADHD, intellectual disabilities, and learning disabilities. I also provide court-ordered competency evaluations for adolescents and evaluations for adult criminal cases. I also provide supervision and consultations to other clinicians.
