Anxiety disorders are treatable. I believe in teaching cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) skills so that individuals may become experts in addressing their own needs. My training began at the University of Florida where I participated in research and authored publications under the Department of Psychiatry, which has specialized in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) for over twenty years. This experience fostered my belief in providing evidence-based treatment. Later, as a doctoral student at Louisiana State University my specializations included parent training, assessment and treatment related to ADHD and Learning Disabilities, as well as group counseling for teens. View 4 Photos I returned to the University of Florida for my pre-doctoral internship, where I conducted neuropsychological assessments and provided therapy to children and adults. As a postdoctoral associate at UF's Department of Psychiatry, I provided therapy, as well as consultation to physicians regarding the psychological health of their patients.
