My name is Avery May and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. I am most experienced working with individuals struggling with symptoms of anxiety, symptoms of depression, family conflict and trauma. I primarily work with young adults and adolescents and implement solution-focused, CBT, DBT and EMDR techniques in my counseling sessions. I recall my own experience going through therapy as an adolescent and how awkward it felt to be expected to reveal all of my feelings to a “stranger”.
