Often clients ask me how therapy helps you to feel better, or make lasting changes in how you handle life’s curve balls. Relief from emotional pain and progress on changes you want to make is because of the unique, safe, nonjudgmental relationship that develops with a skilled therapist. It’s about the fit. You need to feel the therapist “gets” you and understands your world. And the therapist needs to have the knowledge and skills to work on what ails you. While I may not be the perfect therapist for every situation, I strive to understand every client.
