My clients often tell me that they've been putting on the happy face for everyone else while inside they are exhausted from pretending to be someone they're not. They come to me because the tightness in their chest and weight on their shoulders is becoming a familiar friend. They find themselves repeating the same patterns with jobs, friends, or significant others. Their spouses don't understand why they can't just pull themselves together. My clients don't want to be snapping at their spouses or kids, but they feel like they are always on edge. They ask me to help them break the cycle to live the life they've always wanted.
