I see humans as being complex creatures who carry lots of context for their behaviors. Often, harmful dynamics in relationships are a side-effect of old, learned behavior. Whether it be an affair, toxic communication, or fear/apathy around sex, we will put a pin in the frustrating behavior together and instead dig into and heal the causes of the behavior.
