I have been practicing and studying in this field for over 37 years and have a Master's degree in Addiction Counseling. At BreakThroughs, our mission is to help those members of our community who are experiencing problems with alcohol and other drugs to find their path to recovery, to rebuild their lives, and to restore their family relationships. We achieve this by providing first-quality, science-based comprehensive addiction education and treatment. We treat adults of all genders and faiths. For those with co-occurring disorders, we refer to a trusted network of doctors. Addiction affects every aspect of the sufferer's life, so I believe treatment must also address all those factors and issues.. Family dynamics, stress management and communication skills are addressed in depth. We assess for any and all issues that affect the person's relapse potential. We also provide EMDR treatment for those with PTSD issues.
