Hello, and welcome to my profile! If you are seeking a child therapist knowledgable in working with Autistic, ADHD, or PDA kids, you are in the right place! I work with children of all ages from a neurodiversity affirming lens. In short, this means- I don't see your child as having a "disorder" that needs treatment, rather a different kind of brain that needs more support and understanding. As an Autistic (AuDHD) therapist, I understand the experience of being neurodivergent as a child and I have a passion for supporting kids and families to navigate a world that can be under accommodating and stigmatizing. My first goal is to gain trust with your child, and this can take time. If you need to join your child for the first few sessions, this is completely fine! After trust is built, we can work on emotional regulation, understanding their neurotype and better understanding their emotions and needs- all through play centered therapy.
