Struggles are in the “I” of the beholder. Based on this literal perception, we often face our struggles as a problem only “I” can solve and forget that we are communal by nature. This can lead to feelings of emotional isolation where we feel no one truly understands what we are going through. Therapy is the contradiction to these feelings as it focuses on collaboration based on honesty, integrity, and respect.
