I became a therapist after a 30-year research career in the U.S. and abroad, most recently in VA mental health. I have since worked with adults on the issues listed below, including their relationship impacts. I offer EMDR therapy for trauma/complex trauma processing, and to support anxiety, grief, attachment anxiety/abandonment sensitivity, depression, self-esteem, and other issues. I am also trained in Written Exposure Therapy to help process traumatic moments in session that are keeping you stuck in old patterns, fears, and emotions. I am also core-skills trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). EFT helps couples create secure emotional connections in session, and helps individuals achieve a more coherent sense of self. Additional work might include mindfulness, guided imagery, and parts-of-self or self-compassion work; all with particular attention to emotional safety and trust.
