I have over 25 years of experience as a licensed clinical social worker in gently supporting people as they explore difficulties in their lives, identify changes they want to make, and learn skills and practices that can help. I assist through deep empathic listening, noticing patterns, and challenging habitual thoughts and ways of coping that are no longer useful. If it's comfortable, I also encourage clients to check in with the felt experience they are having in their bodies during therapy. This can keep the work grounded and let us know whether it's making a difference.
