My name is Carol Johnson. I am a licensed clinical social worker. My approach to therapy emphasizes empathy, understanding, and respect for the client's unique experiences and feelings. Currently, my focus areas of practice are depression, stress, and anxiety. I also work with persons diagnosed with serious mental illness (MDD, BPD, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder) on a case-by-case basis. Key elements of my therapeutic approach are empathy, non-judgmental attitude, personalization, support, encouragement, collaboration, and compassion. The most common theoretical approaches I use in my work are CBT, ACT, and DBT.
