Although starting counseling can be a difficult step, I believe that walking into a counselor's office takes inner strength and courage. I work with adult clients 25 and older who experience ADHD, anxiety, depression, and substance abuse to grow in their confidence and understanding of themselves and I work with them to develop skills they can utilize to reach their therapy goals. Through our sessions, clients feel empowered, make choices aligned with their goals, and can create healthier relationships with themselves and others. While it is not possible to go back and change difficult situations of the past, it is possible to work through these experiences. I employ an individualized approach for each client using a mix of treatment methods including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness strategies.
